"QUESTION: "I know someone who never stops bragging and she is in her 40s. It not only gets on my nerves. It annoys most of our friends. How do we tell her nicely?

Odds are great that this person who is bragging at the age of 40 is wanting to feel good about her accomplishments, and has gotten insufficient appreciation along the way.
I recommend that you simply give her appreciation at times when she isn't bragging, sort of beat her to the punch by saying nice things about her before she can say them about herself. And if she does occasionally get on a roll, you can say "Sometimes I think you tell me these things because you don't know that I respect your achievements. Is that your purpose is saying 'blahblahblah'?" If she says no, then ask what she is really trying to say when she says 'blahblahblah.' Do this innocently and frequently, and she'll likely tire of your response and change her ways.
Good luck,
Siggy
